With the start of a new year, everyone wants to become their best version. This may look different for many people. It may be becoming a better version of yourself with your image, growing your business, increasing your income or simply living in the present, spending more time with your loved ones. One way to do that is look your best! Your image is essential because this impacts the way you feel, influencing every area of your life. Your appearance is EVERYTHING; it’s your personal brand and a representation of who you are instantly.  While there are drastic measures you can take, there are also several simple things you can do to enter a new era of you!

Wear What Suits You

Find what works best for you.  This is one of, if not THE MOST, important concepts to remember.  Wear what accentuates your body and gives you CONFIDENCE! It commands the room whenever you enter speaking volumes before any word is spoken. It’s the ultimate self-expression. Don’t just follow trends. Instead find a style that makes you feel comfortable.  Wear what compliments your body and love the skin you’re in!

In Living Color

Don’t be afraid to wear different colors. It will bring a radiant glow to skin and make you stand out in the crowd.  Step outside of the basic black, white, tan, beige and gray. Wear colors that bring you to LIFE. Neutrals are always timeless, but sometimes may not enhance your skin tone as much as colors.  Don't be afraid to try bright colors and branch out of neutrals. Wear colors that compliment your complexion!

Be Jeweled

Wearing accessories brings your look together. This cannot be expressed enough! Adding a statement piece of jewelry will elevate your outfit taking it to the next level! Never underestimate the power of bracelets, necklaces or any jewelry. Start with building your capsule everyday jewelry collection, then add unique statement pieces in bold colors and textures.

Details Matter

Having the right handbags for the right occasion will make you look put together.  The wrong handbag can throw off your entire look. Whether you’re going to brunch, formal events or shopping, the right handbag will accentuate style adding balance to your outfit. Along with handbags, shoe choice can make or break the outfit.  There is a time and place for every type of shoe.  Make sure your shoe choice is the perfect addition for every outfit.  It is one of the first things people will notice when they see you completing your entire look.

Less Is More

Eliminate decision fatigue by only having in your closet pieces that you absolutely love! This will make getting ready for the day easier with less decisions to make. Make space in your closet for pieces you love by doing an annual closet clean out. Donate your gently loved pieces that no longer compliment your style, providing space for what you wear frequently!

Tailored

Elevate your style with tailored and ironed pieces making you look intentional with your outfit. Wearing crisp, tailored pieces will seem like a minor detail but will definitely set you apart. The exact same outfit will look like a difference between night and day.  These things will enhance your ensemble making your attire custom just for you. Also be mindful of clothing pieces that may be worn out, have thread, flaking or holes.  These minor things can be an unintended focus.

Styled

Don't just wear it, STYLE IT! Enhance your entire image by putting your personal twist on your outfit. It looks like you put effort into your look. This can be adding a pair of eye-catching heels, dazzling bracelets, a statement ring, distinctive sunglasses, glamorous handbag or layering a debonair sports jacket with a particular outfit. This personalizes your style.

With these simple style concepts you’ll be stepping into your improved era!
